Alimentos que te dan fuerza y no lo sabías

Foods that give you strength and you didn't know it

Let's face it. Many of us are a little obsessed with protein intake. Sometimes, it's the only nutrient we pay attention to.
However, just as important as these, there are a number of foods that will not only benefit your overall health, but are essential for gaining strength and improving muscle recovery.
Think about it, what's the point of pumping yourself full of protein if there's nothing to repair since your strength levels haven't kept up with your training?

Here is a list of foods that we should incorporate into our diet:

- Nuts and seeds
Almonds, walnuts, chia seeds and flaxseed: provide healthy fats, zinc and protein.
They provide sustained energy for training and recovery.

- Green vegetables
Spinach, broccoli, kale: rich in iron, calcium and antioxidants.
They improve muscle performance and reduce inflammation.

- Energy fruits
Bananas: a quick source of energy, potassium, and magnesium. Tennis players know this.

Red berries: antioxidants that help muscle recovery.

- Complex carbohydrates
Oats, quinoa, brown rice, legumes: provide sustained energy and maintain stable glucose levels.

- Healthy fats
Avocado, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil: essential for hormone production and overall strength.

- Smart hydration
It's not food, but mineral water, coconut water, and electrolyte drinks improve muscle function and performance.
